Is protection added automatically?
Yes — EK Shipping Protection is added to your cart automatically when you add any item. You can remove it by unticking the option in your bag or at checkout. It only applies to the current session, so if you remove it and come back later, it may be added again.
How do I make a claim?
Email us at orders@effiekats.com with your order number and a brief description of the issue. For damaged items, please include a photo. We typically respond within 1–2 business days.
What counts as a damaged item?
Damage caused during shipping — torn packaging, crushed garments, items that arrive unwearable due to transit conditions. This does not cover damage caused after delivery, normal wear, or items damaged due to washing/handling.
How long does a claim take to resolve?
Most claims are resolved within 3–5 business days. We aim to make this as quick and pain-free as possible — we'll either dispatch a replacement or issue a refund depending on stock availability and your preference.
Can I add protection after I've placed my order?
No — EK Shipping Protection must be added before your order is placed. It cannot be added retroactively once the order is confirmed.
What if my item is out of stock when I make a claim?
If we're unable to replace your specific item, we'll issue a full refund to your original payment method.
