All orders processed online or at the Effie Kats showroom constitute agreement to the policies and terms below.

How to start

Initiating a Return or Exchange

Effie Kats accepts returns for change of mind and size on full-priced garments within 7 business days of receiving your order.

Email us at orders@effiekats.com within 7 business days of delivery to begin the process. Returns requested outside this timeframe will not be accepted. Once your item arrives at the Effie Kats showroom, it will be inspected and processed accordingly.

Effie Kats accepts one exchange per style unless the item is deemed faulty.

Return Options

When returning an eligible full-priced item, choose from the following:

Exchange

Free

Swap for a different size or style, subject to stock availability. If the requested item is out of stock, a 110% store credit will be issued instead.

110% Store Credit

Free · Recommended

Receive 110% of your purchase price as store credit, valid for 3 years from date of issue. Redeemable on any full-priced or sale item online or in-showroom.

Refund

AU $20 AUD · Intl $60 AUD

Refunded to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. A processing fee will be deducted (Australia: $20 AUD, International: $60 AUD). Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Orders paid partially or fully with a gift card or store credit will be refunded as store credit.

Eligibility

Return Conditions

All returned items must meet the following conditions. Returns that do not will be refused and sent back to the customer at their cost.

  • Returned in original condition with all tags intact and attached to the garment
  • Unworn, unwashed, and not laundered
  • Undamaged and unaltered in any way
  • Free from deodorant, perfume, makeup, body oils, hair, stains, or odours
  • Returned in original packaging where applicable

The customer must not attempt to resolve any damages without prior approval from the Effie Kats team. Effie Kats reserves the right to reject any return at its discretion.

Shipping

Return Shipping

All return shipping costs for change-of-mind and size returns are at the customer's expense. Effie Kats does not provide prepaid labels for change-of-mind returns.

All return parcels must be sent via a secure, prepaid, and traceable postage method. Lost or stolen return parcels are not the liability of Effie Kats.

If your item is deemed faulty, a return shipping label will be provided by our team at no charge.

Full-Priced Items

All return options are available — exchange, 110% store credit, or refund with a processing fee (Australia: $20 AUD, International: $60 AUD) — provided items meet the return conditions above and are notified within 7 business days of delivery.

Sale & Discounted Items

All sale items are strictly final sale. They are ineligible for return, exchange, refund, or store credit. Please note some sale items may carry slight imperfections such as markings, stains, rips, or holes.

Christmas Extended Returns

All orders placed during December benefit from an extended 2-week return period.

Faults

Faulty Items

If you believe your item is faulty, contact us at orders@effiekats.com with your order number and supporting images within 7 business days of delivery. Our team will review your case and advise on next steps.

In the case of a confirmed fault, Effie Kats will offer a full refund, exchange, or store credit with no processing fee, and a prepaid return label will be provided at no charge.

Faults do not include normal wear and tear, damage from accidents or misuse, damage caused by jewellery or accessories, or damage resulting from failure to follow care label instructions. Effie Kats is not responsible for damage caused by third-party dry cleaners.

International orders

Taxes & Duties

Taxes and duties paid at the time of delivery are collected by your local customs authority and are non-refundable — even in cases where the return is due to an error on our part, as these charges are beyond our control.

In the case of a fabric or colour being discontinued, the customer is entitled to reselect from available options. Failure to supply correct order information is not the fault of Effie Kats.

Your rights

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected by our returns policy, sale conditions, or warehouse sale terms.
